If you sometimes look at my Facebook page and the blog, you might have noticed that I haven’t written anything since November. Was it because of the holidays? Have I been boozing with abandon, while forgetting my professional responsibilities?
Maybe. But that’s not the full story. Mostly it wasn’t the booze, but the books I’ve been hitting, while getting ready for the professional exam to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a member of the Lymphology Association of North America (LANA).
A week ago if you went to LANA web site and searched for an Alberta-based therapist, there were none. But now there is. I’ve been steadily upgrading my lymphatic education, and after passing the test on January 7th received the CLT-LANA designation.
There aren’t that many of us - 181 in New York, 121 in Chicago, 12 in Toronto and 1(!) in Calgary. And 100% of the Calgary-based LANA-certified lymphedema therapists work at Breathe SPA
This means a lot to you, our clients. Manual lymphatic drainage is a wonderful versatile tool. Gentle and non-invasive, it helps to rid the body of metabolic waste and toxins. It relieves headache, bronchitis, muscle cramps, blurry vision, dizziness, ringing in the ears and other conditions too numerous to list. Lymphatic drainage also strengthens the immune system and can slow down and sometimes reverse the effects of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Scleroderma, Fibromyalgia and the Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
There is a lot we at Breathe Spa can do for you. Go online to Breathe Spa or call us at 403-457-3060 and make an appointment.
